I need to Blog

Where has the time gone? I feel like I've been gone forever.  Without blogging.  And talking.  And thinking.  I need to blog.

My foals aren't newborns, they are almost 4 months old.

I'm just starting the CTRs this year.

I feel like I'm just starting to ride longer, and condition for these CTRs.

I feel like all I have done is maintenance work around here, but then my bathroom is done, and outside looks pretty good.

I feel like I've done a lot of traveling, but I have seen Makenzie a lot, and visited with Sara and Jake. And cousins M and Caden together to play and swim and go to County Fair to see Pop.

I feel like I'm ready for summer to start and it's already fall.

The one thing that I'm glad about is that the humidity is gone! Both the heat and humidity is gone!  And that is a good thing.

I've started Yoga lessons and I hope with all the stretching, I'm able to ride for longer hours without feeling it.  My legs are feeling it tonight.

Life is slowing down because the days are getting shorter. I just talked with hubby about the days getting darker sooner, and by the end of next month, we'll be getting dark by 7!

Well, I need to work on the horses and let you know what I'm up to with them.  We have pigs, and how the horses have reacted to them.  I can't wait until Harvest, and then I can ride the fields, not just the waterways.

I'm ready for fall cleanup, the cooler days, the south sun setting lower in the sky, giving us sunny but cooler afternoons.

I hope to start catching up with all of you. Let me know what you have been doing this summer, and what will fall bring!

Nice to see you blogging again. Like you I feel as if I'm ready for summer to begin, even though we had a beautiful summer. But up here above 7,000 ft, summers are fleeting. 3-4 months of summer is all we can expect. The rest of the year we can expect the unexpected. Already it's getting cold here and things are dying on the ground. The color brown is coming back. I'm saddened to say goodbye to the hummingbirds and barn swallows.

It seems the older I get the faster the days, weeks, months and years zoom by. sigh.

Love the idea of taking yoga classes. I've been thinking about taking swim exercise classes because of my weak knees and hip displasia, but the pools are in ABQ, about 25 minutes away. It's difficult to motivate myself to drive almost an hour round trip just to swim for 30 minutes.

Have a great week,
~Lisa

Lisa, you are so right. The days are just zipping by. I've slowed down but the hours and days don't! And I am starting to wonder what I got done each day. LOL I think the reason I haven't been blogging is that I'm spending so much time outside that I'm tired in the evenings, when I usually write. Too tired for any creative thoughts. I feel like I am getting ready for winter, and have the urge to get lots of outside stuff done.

Sam, I know, I love to write and blog, and now have the desire, and starting to have the time to do that. I started a chat, and it seems I'm commenting on that more than posting stuff here. I'll have to post what I chat about too. I know I'll have more time over winter, so trying to take advantage of our perfect fall days, 60-80's and no humidity! I rode yesterday at a state park about 2 hours away, and rode from almost 11-3:30. It was just a perfect day! Not any pics though. bummer!
