I'll reread my last 2 posts, read the comments, and be thinking about how to balance the chase and change and wanting what we have.Horses Are Our Liveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10982276279029143883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755295319011610690.post-17491802013257000752011-05-06T11:10:52.924-05:002011-05-06T11:10:52.924-05:00Excellent posts about chasing our dreams. It reminds me of when I was barrel racing regularly. There was always someone I was chasing, someone I was after. Kurt too. On our way to the show we'd plan how we were going to beat these people this time! They were our dear friends but that was half the fun! I've noticed that whatever dreams I've accomplished, there is always another one to strive for. Another race to win. It makes life more lively and exciting, longing for something, working at something. Perhaps if there was nothing, that would be the end.

On the other hand, this is one of my favorite quotes: "The best way to have what you want, is to want what you have." You can't wish your life away waiting for something. You have to enjoy the moment and I try to remind myself of that. I guess it's best to find balance. Perhaps you should write about that next time. Balance. I bet you know a lot about that because of what you do with the horses.Greener Pastures--A City Girl Goes Countryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05448845964131250749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755295319011610690.post-71320961820594771562011-05-05T23:53:10.214-05:002011-05-05T23:53:10.214-05:00I think we have to catch our dream sometime, even ...I think we have to catch our dream sometime, even if we don't do anything more than enjoy the catch. Yes, maybe this is what it is sometimes... changing the dream. I never thought about that, but I'm sure that is what happens. Dreams of today are not what the dreams of 10 years were. I guess I never realized that I was changing the dream, I think that I was dreaming of what I would want, but since I was older, that dream was different. hard to explain.Horses Are Our Liveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10982276279029143883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755295319011610690.post-81448988576671553512011-05-05T21:10:00.891-05:002011-05-05T21:10:00.891-05:00As someone who chases her dream pretty darn passio...As someone who chases her dream pretty darn passionately, I can say just chasing it doesn't always get you there. Life happens and we have no control over some of those things. What I have learned in that process is that I need to be willing to adapt to keep going. Holding onto something that cannot happen only makes one stuck. Changing the dream to accommodate life's influences is what keeps the dream alive.

I'm not always happy about having to make those changes but I do them and I'm glad that I do.Rising Rainbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04239592070775412669noreply@blogger.com
